This program is a three step process designed to take individuals from emergency shelter status, to transitional housing and into permanent housing.
Program 1. Emergency Shelter
The emergency shelter program is designed to provide a safe and secure environment for men in crisis, who need a respite and a place to reorganize their life situation. There are 45 beds for men. A team of professional workers are assigned to each guest to welcome and ensure that their mental and physical needs are met. Guest are provided a handbook, toiletry items, clothing and individual plan of service.
Program 2. Transitional Housing
The Transitional Service Program is designed to be a bridge between those needing emergency shelter and those who need supportive permanent housing. The transitional housing program is a program that allows residents to remain up to 24 months in one of our two TSP sites. The site at 12260 Camden Street has 25 beds (several units) servicing men. The site at 12249 Camden Street has 20 beds (13 units) servicing men, women and children.
Program 3. Permanent Supportive Housing
Is a program geared towards assisting guests who successfully maintains recovery and can demonstrate they are ready for independent living, with a limited amount of supervision. Permanent housing is secured, and support is given to ensure a successful transition is achieved.
